About Jordan

Hi, I'm Jordan (they/them), and I'm a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I'm also a queer, genderfluid, and neurodivergent person who has spent time on both sides of the mental health system, which greatly shapes how I approach this work.

My practice is grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationships where people feel understood, respected, and able to show up as they are. I aim to create a space that is affirming, trauma-informed, and welcoming of diverse identities, relationship structures, and lived experiences.

I have over ten years of experience working in community-based mental health and addiction service settings, and these experiences continue to influence my commitment to harm reduction, anti-oppression, and accessible care in my therapy practice.

Much of my work focuses on supporting people navigating emotional intensity, attachment patterns, substance use, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and complex trauma. My approach integrates dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and family systems perspectives.

About the Saguaro

The saguaro cactus is a symbol of resilience in the Sonoran Desert. Saguaros grow slowly, often taking decades before they develop their first arms. But under the right conditions, they can live for over 150 years and can grow to be over 50 feet tall.

Along the way, they become part of an incredibly intricate ecosystem: birds nest in their trunks, insects and small mammals take shelter among their ribs, and the cactus provides flowers, fruits, and protection in an otherwise harsh landscape.

Before transitioning to mental health care, I was a biology student with a fascination for the way desert ecosystems showcase how life adapts, persists, and supports other life, even under the harshest conditions. Saguaros remind us that growth can be slow, that resilience doesn't have to be loud, and that we rarely thrive in isolation; we grow in relationship with the environments and communities that exist around us.
